Apologize (remix) ft. John Henny Jack, TRN (First Nations)

New song from SFA fam from the Six Nations community, below is the message he sent me!

he:kon/Hello my African brother,

I have just put up a track that my boi and I did together. The track is a remix to the OneRepublic song Apologize. The song is about Indian residential schools and the bullshit apology that that Stephen Harper gave in 2008. We used the hook from the OneRepublic song ‘it’s too late to apologize” and the beat and made our own verses. If you would like to put it up on the Stolen from Africa site that would be awesome man. I want to get this track out so that the people can hear it. Here is a description you could use for the video if you needed one “This

song is dedicated to all the first people of Turtle Island. This song is about the Canadian genocide that is hidden from the world that was faced by Onkwehonwe/Native people of Turtle Island. The canadian government in partnership with the missionaries wanted to “civilize” the first people of this land so they forcefully (with the RCMP) removed children from the ages 4-15 years old from thier homes. They kidnapped all the little innocent kids and forced them to be christians. This went on for over a century in this area of Turtle Island (canada) from the 1870′s to around 1970ish. When the kids were in these residential schools, they could not be themselves, they could not be “indian”. The whole purpose of the residential schools was to “KILL THE INDIAN IN THE CHILD”. When the kids were in these schools, the majority of them faced sexual, mental, and physical abuse. The children were rapped, molested, murdered, starved, and tortured by the authority figures that ran the schools (teachers, nuns, priest). Over 50, 000 childrens bodies are still missing until this day because they went to these schools. Where are the bodies so with honour and pride we can bury the bodies??? Please enjoy the song”

Many thanks for this article. I will also like to mention that it can be hard when you’re in school and simply starting out to establish a long credit standing. There are many pupils who are simply trying to pull through and have a protracted or beneficial credit history can occasionally be a difficult thing to have.
